Benji encounters Jake at an airport gate and there is attraction. Their relationship unfolds through Amsterdam trips and intimacy.
Departures is a messy and funny queer romance about desire, longing for love and power dynamics in relationships. It reminds you that falling in love can be wonderful, intense and senseless; and sometimes exactly the flight you never should have boarded.
