16 year old Sebastian lives a sheltered life in a small town. His world changes when his family takes in 15 year old Kolja. They will become connected and a whole new world opens for Sebastian: full of curiosity, closeness and a sense of first great emotions.
Free at Heart is a sensitive but intense queer coming of age story about first love, finding your true self and the moment when the borders of the safe world begin to break. Its a depict of the conflict of adolescence – wanting to be free and fear of what happens when you finally are brave enough to follow your heart.
